ELSAH, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team picked up its first win of the 2012 season against Principia College, shutting out the Panthers, 5-0, with four different scorers Saturday (September 15) on PCU's home field.

The Titans opened the game strong, scoring two goals within the first 10 minutes from Tess Bottorff, assisted by Emily Hinchman, and Alex Nasca to build some momentum for the visiting team.

Right before the halftime break, Hinchman socred a goal, assisted by Hannah Ketterling, to put the Titans up, 3-0.

In the second half, Nasca scored with an assist from Hinchman with 55 minutes on the clock. Kristina Dolak scored the final goal for IWU.

IWU went 5-for-11 in goals, taking advantage of the open PCU holes and securing its only victory of the season thus far. 

The Titans will resume action Thursday (September 20) against Washington University in St. Louis at Neis Field.
