MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Junior shortstop Zach Scott and sophomore third baseman Johnathan Erickson each got three of Illinois Wesleyan's 17 hits in a 9-4 win at Christian Brothers in Memphis, Tenn., on Thursday (March 15).

Erickson also had two runs batted in as IWU improved to 5-1 this spring.

Sophomore centerfielder Jon Frericks, senior leftfielder Mark McDermott and senior rightfielder Kevin Sullivan each had two hits and McDermott provided three RBI.

Illinois Wesleyan used nine pitchers and Anthony Kopp (1-0) got the pitching victory.

The Titans will play in a weekend tournament at Terre Haute, Ind., opening on Saturday against Rose-Hulman and Alma and playing Sunday against Concordia Chicago.
