JACKSON, Miss. - Illinois Wesleyan's offensive-minded baseball team had 14 hits and improved to 4-0 with a 10-3 win at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., on Sunday (March 11).

Senior righthander Joe Sweeney (2-0) allowed six hits in six innings with one earned run while striking out one and walking three.

The Titans, who are averaging 10.5 runs per game in their first four contests of 2012, scored multiple runs in three innings - four in the second, three in the fourth and two more in the sixth.

Junior first baseman Kevin Callahan had three hits with a home run and three runs batted in while soiphomore centerfielder Jon Frericks also had three hits with two doubles and improved his average to .619. Senior leftfielder Mark McDermott had a double among his two hits and three RBI and junior shortstop Zach Scott also had two hits.

The Titans are scheduled to play next at Mississippi College at 6 p.m. on Monday (March 12) in Clinton, Miss.
