BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Sophomore Morgan Howard had 16 kills and senior Alex Hill had 13 as the Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team collected a 3-1 win over North Park at the Shirk Center on Wednesday (Oct. 3).

The Titans improved to 10-9 overall and 2-2 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play while the Vikings slipped to 4-12 this season and 0-4 in league play. Illinois Wesleyan lost the first set 21-25, before winning the next three by scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-20.

IWU hit .234 in the match with 46 total kills in 107 attempts.

Hill and Howard each had four total blocks and Hill had three service aces.

Sophomore Maddie Greybar had eight defensive digs to go with six kills and sophomore Kinzie Schweigert had seven digs with five kills. Junior Erin Wachtel had 37 set assists and four digs.

North Park was led by the 13 kills of Shelby Switzer, who also had four digs and two blocks.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts a five-team tournament this weekend with matches on Friday (Oct. 5) against Robert Morris-Peoria at 5 p.m. and Culver-Stockton at 7 p.m. On Saturday IWU's only match is at 12 p.m. against Lincoln Christian.
