BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Despite some rain and wet field conditions, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team shutout North Park, 5-0, at Neis Field for Senior Night Thursday (Oct. 25) night with
Tillie Bill adding three goals for the Titans.
IWU improves to 8-8-0 and 4-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin for a third-place standing. North Park sports a 5-8-1 and 1-4-1 in the CCIW.
Just two minutes into the game, IWU put a goal in.
Alice Fontana scored the goal for the Titans, with the assist going to
Kate Dunaway and
Emily Hinchman.
At the 7:54 marker, IWU scored again as Bill crossed the ball the hit the corner net, with the assist from Fontana. Bill struck again at the 21:13 point as she dribbled through defenders to put the Titans up, 3-0.
Hannah Ketterling knocked the Titans' fourth goal in to give the home team the four-point advantage heading into halftime.
Bill scored IWU's fifth goal of the game, with the assist from Fontana, to seal the deal and give the Titans' the victory.
The Titans will resume action Saturday (Oct 27) against Carthage at Kenosha, Wis., at 1 p.m.
