WHITEWATER, Wis. - Playing against their second nationally-ranked team in a row, the Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team lost a three-set decision at No. 17 Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first day of the Warhawk Invitational on Friday (Oct. 20).
The Titans fell to 14-11 overall, losing by scores of 13-25, 19-25, 13-25. IWU led by scores of 1-0 and 2-1 in the first set and did not hold a lead the rest of the match.

For the Warhawks, who improved to 21-9, Leanna Lillge had 13 kills and 10 digs and Kristen Ruchti had 10 kills. Whitewater had 43 kills to 16 for IWU in the match and hit .26
Play continues in the Warhawk Invitational on Saturday as IWU plays Wisconsin-River Falls at 12 p.m. and Edgewood at 2 p.m.
