ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Four different players scored goals as the No. 23-nationally ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team posted a 4-1 road league win over Augustana on Sunday (Oct. 14) in Rock Island, Ill.
The Titans improved to 11-2-0 overall and 4-0-0 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play.
With four conference wins, IWU is within one of tying the most ever in CCIW play. The 1995 team was 5-1-0 and the 2008 team finished 5-2-0 in the league.
The 11 wins overall is second most in an Illinois Wesleyan season, trailing only the 1995 team with 12 wins (12-6-0).

Tim Griffin started the scoring just 9:40 into the match with his sixth goal of the season.

Declan Geraghty staked the Titans to a 2-0 lead with his unassisted goal at 25:15.
Augustana got within a goal at the 32:30 mark when Nick Wolfe scored on an assist from Kyle Polanco and the score was 2-1 at halftime.
Senior
Jeff Graham collected his third goal of the year at 55:37 to give the Titans a two goal cushion at 3-1.

Tim Hegwood made one save as Illinois Wesleyan outshot the Vikings, 16-8. IWU had six shots on goal and Augie keeper Brett Johnson made one save.
Illinois Wesleyan next plays on Saturday (Oct. 20) against Wheaton in the "Seniors' Night" game at Neis Field. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.
