WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won for the sixth straight time, picking up a four-set College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win at Wheaton College by scores of 16-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-13.

The Titans improved to 14-9 overall and 3-2 in the CCIW while the Thunder ebbed to 5-16 this season and 0-5 in conference action.

Sophomore Maddie Greybar led IWU in kills with 14 and in digs with 17, while senior Alex Hill made 11 kills and led the Titans with four total blocks. Senior libero Stephanie Polich made 16 defensive digs and junior setter Erin Wachtel provided 40 assists. Sophomore Morgan Howard also had three blocks in the four-set victory.

"Even though we started out flat and a bit off guard, I was happy to see how we made adjustments throughout the match," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "Our passing settled down so we were able to get our middles back into the offense and that is a big part of our offense. Defensively we countered what Wheaton tried to do and were able to transition and score."

Illinois Wesleyan will have a week off before its next match, a CCIW home contest against nationally-ranked Elmhurst at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 17).
