Wabash 164, Illinois Wesleyan 118 - Complete Results

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's swimming and diving team lost a 164-118 decision to Wabash College in a dual meet at Fort Natatorium on Saturday (Jan. 28).

In the final home meet of the season, senior Mikey Firth got frst place in the 100 backstroke in 52.98 seconds and the 200 backstroke in 1:54.55. He also swam on two second place relay teams - the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.

Freshman Nathan Douglas was also a double winner for Illinois Wesleyan in diving, claiming the 1-meter with 177.80 points and the 3-meter with 175.95 points.

Senior Tommy Gilbert got first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.00, third in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.80) and was on the two second place relay teams with Firth.

Sophomore Marcus Duval was the winner of the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:18.16.

The Titan men's and women's teams will swim in a triangular against Wheaton and North Central at Wheaton next Saturday (Feb. 4).
