BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Sophomore Matt LaLonde booted in a goal from in front of the net with 18 minutes to play to give the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team a 1-0 win over Webster in the "Clash of the Titans" tournament on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Neis Field.

LaLonde's goal came at the 71:30 mark with an assist to junior John Horstman, who provided a nifty pass from the right side of the goal.

The Titans improved to 2-1 with the win as junior keeper Tim Hegwood had the shutout in goal, making one save. IWU had 12 shots on goal compared to three for the Gorloks and IWU had seven shots on goal.

The Titans will meet Central (Iowa) at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Central was a 1-0 winner over Millikin on Saturday.
