WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team lost its second straight game, falling at No. 24-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater, 65-53, on Wednesday (Nov. 30). The Titans fell to 4-2 this season while Whitewater stayed unbeaten in five games.
The Titans were within two at 46-44 with 7:06 to play in the game but the Warhawks went on a 13-2 run to take a 59-46 lead with 1:36 to go. The Titans were held scoreless for 3:30 during the final 4:41.
IWU trailed early in the game 7-2 and was behind 27-17 with 3:46 to play in the half before going on an 11-0 run with help from five points out of junior
Daniel Oswald to get a 28-27 lead with 55 seconds to play.
Whitewater scored the final four points to get a 31-28 halftime advantage.

Kevin Reed was the lone Titan to score in double digits with 10. Senior
Jordan Zimmer scored eight.
Illinois Wesleyan, who shot .436 from the field (20 of 46) and made five of 13 3-point shots (.386). IWU also knocked in eight of 13 free throw tries (.706).
The Warhawks shot .382 from the floor (also 21 of 55) and made eight of 26 from beyond the arc (.308) and hit 15 of 21 free throws (.714).

Eliud Gonzalez grabbed six. The Titans were guilty of 24 turnovers compared to 12 from the Warhawks.
Whitewater's Alex Merg had a game-high 16 points and six assists while Chris Davis scored 13 and Luke Knoble scored 11.
Wesleyan returns home for a 7 p.m. game on Saturday (Dec. 3) against Webster.
