BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan scored five first half goals en route to a 6-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win over Millikin at Neis Field on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

The Titans improved to 10-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the CCIW while Millikin dropped to 6-4-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the league.

Illinois Wesleyan got the scoring started at 12:08 when sophomore Tillie Bill found Big Blue keeper Kyli Humm out of position and put the ball into the net for her third goal of the year.
IWU made it 2-0 at 14:27 on a goal from Emily Hinchman with an assist to senior Molly O'Brien.

The Titans scored at 24:07 on an “own goal” as the ball was deflected into the net after a crossing pass from sophomore Hannah Ketterling.

O'Brien got her 11th goal of the year at 28:06 with an assist from freshman Alex Partipilo to provide IWU with a 4-0 lead and freshman Brie Siebert ended the first half scoring at 37:10 with her first goal of the season into the lower left corner of the goal. Amanda Knezovich got the assist on the fifth goal of the first half.

Freshman Arin Calamari got her third goal of the year with an assist to senior Amanda Kessel at 73:51 to account for the final score.

The Titans has 23 shots compared to six for Millikin and had nine corner kicks with the Big Blue taking none.

IWU keeper Zoie Samaan made three saves in the win while Humm made three and Natalie Robertaccio made two for Millikin.

Illinois Wesleyan continues CCIW play with a 1 p.m. match at home against Elmhurst on Saturday, Oct. 15.
