Kelsey Porter scored her first two goals of the season within four minutes of each other in the first half to stake the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Aurora on Sunday, Sept. 26.
The No. 4-nationally ranked Titans improved to 10-0-0 while Aurora fell to 6-4-0.
Porter's first goal came on an assist from senior
Alyssa Feulner at 35:10, then Porter got her second goal at 38:49, also on an assist from Feulner.
The shutout is the 28th in the career of senior keeper
Alli Novak, who is tied with Emily Castner for the most career shutouts at the school. Castner played from 2003 to 2006.
IWU outshot the Spartans, 20-11, and Novak made seven saves in the match. Aurora's Nicky Cardon made 12 saves in the loss.
The Titans travel to face Rose-Hulman on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
