NAPERVILLE, Ill. - All nine Titan offensive starters had two hits or more as the Illinois Wesleyan baseball team banged out 23 hits in a 16-5 win over No. 1 seed North Central in the first round of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament at Naperville on Friday, May 14.
The No. 4 seed Titans improved to 20-19 with the win and will play No. 3 seed Carthage (27-14) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 in a winners' bracket game. The Red Men downed No. 2 seed North Park, 11-2 on Friday.

Casey McIntosh had four hits with a home run and scored four runs, senior rightfielder
Mike Morrissey, centerfielder
Ryan Hopp and senior
Kraig Ladd each had three hits, while senior second baseman
Brett Moore, third baseman
Jeff Grodecki, freshman shortstop
Zach Scott, sophomore catcher
Mark McDermott and sophomore
Kevin Sullivan each had two hits.
Moore also had a home run with two runs batted in and scored twice while Hopp scored three runs and drove home four runs.
Junior
Jason Pankau was the winning pitcher, going eight innings, allowing four runs on 11 hits while walking one and striking out two. Freshman
Nick Mehn pitched the ninth and allowed one run.
