BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's tennis team improve to 12-3 overall in the 2010 season after an 8-1 win over St. Ambrose in Bloomington on April 17. Earlier in the day North Central beat IWU, 5-4, in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match.

The 12 dual match wins is the most in a single season for an IWU men's tennis team since the 2004 team was 20-5. Only six other Titan teams dating back to 1963 have registered double figure dual match victories in a season and only two others have won 12 or more matches - 1997 (15-5), 1993 (13-3) and 2003 (12-10). The 2002 (11-9) and 2000 teams (11-7) both had 11 wins and the 1996 squad was 10-6.

The Titans are 2-2 in the CCIW after the setback to the Cardinals. The lone singles winners against North Central were Nick Kenaga at No. 3 and Michael Christison at No. 4.
Kenaga beat Chris Bennorth, 6-3, 6-1 and Christison topped Naveed Heydari 6-2, 7-6.
The No. 2 doubles team of Christison and Sandeep Kola beat Andrew McKinley and Heydari, 8-4, and IWU's No. 3 doubles team of Kenaga and #Steven Hayman# beat Adam Ciccone and Josh Clay, 8-2.

The win over St. Ambrose was a near complete sweep. Results were:
