BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan junior righthander
Jason Pankau struck out 10 batters to help the Titans to a 6-3 win in the opener before Wheaton won game two, 12-1.
In a complete game, Pankau (now 6-0) scattered nine hits and walked only two in the win.
The Titans are 12-13 overall and Wheaton is 20-8 - both teams are 7-5 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
IWU was outhit in the game, 9-7, as catcher
Mark McDermott provided two doubles, including a two-run double in the seventh that helped the Titans to a 5-0 lead. Senior third baseman

Kevin Callahan also had run batted in singles in the opener.
The Thunder threatened in the ninth but the potential tying run made an out to end the game.

Brent Kulavic also struck out 10 Thunder hitters in 6 2/3 innings in game two but Wheaton broke open a 2-1 game with five unearned runs in the seventh. A dropped third strike and throwing error started the inning. Another error one out later opened the flood gates.
Wheaton had 20 hits, led by leadoff man Ryan Miller's four hits and three runs scored. IWU managed only five hits with two coming from leadoff hitter
