Jason Pankau pitched a seven-inning one-hitter in an Illinois Wesleyan 11-1 win over Benedictine and
Alex Tosi allowed four hits in a 3-0 complete game shutout of Washington U. on March 20 as the Titans' spring trip ended with a 4-5 record.
The Titans, who have won three in a row, were to have played Washington U. again on Sunday, March 21, but that game has been cancelled.
Against Benedictine (in a game shortened to seven innings), Pankau (2-0) struck out 14 and got offensive support from senior
Casey McIntosh, who had two runs batted in with a single and a walk, and senior
Mike Morrissey scored two runs, had two hits and drove home a run.
Tosi (who improved to 1-2) struck out four against the Bears and got runs batted in from
Ryan Hopp in the seventh, Morrissey in the eighth and freshman
Kevin Callahan with a ninth inning sacrifice fly.
