THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The No. 18-ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team shook off the rust of an 11-day layoff, taking a 67-53 win over Gettysburg at the Cal Lutheran tournament in Thousand Oaks, Calif., on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
The Titans, who improved to 8-2 with their first win since Dec, 11, will face host school Cal Lutheran at 10 p.m. Central time on Thursday, Dec. 30. The Kingsmen (5-4) were 70-65 winners over Hobart earlier on Wednesday.

John Koschnitzky, Illinois Wesleyan held a 38-22 edge in rebounding over the Bullets.
Gettysburg, who lost its fourth straight game since its last win on Dec. 1 and fell to 4-5, got a game-high 22 points from Andrew Powers.
Illinois Wesleyan made 23 of 53 from the field (43 percent) and connected on six of 22 3-point free tries (27 percent) while making 15 of 20 free throws (75 percent).
The Bullets shot 46 percent (21 of 46) from the field and made five of 16 (31 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc. Gettysburg made six of 10 free throws.
