IWU Women Soccer Use Big Second Half to Beat Cardinals

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a scoreless first half, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team used three second half goals to beat North Central, 3-0, on Saturday, Oct. 9 at IWU's Neis Field in IWU's Homecoming match.

The Titans (13-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) outshot the Cardinals, 17-0. North Central fell to 5-6-0 overall and 0-2 in the league.

Junior Molly O'Brien had her 13th goal of the year at 48:28 on an assist from sophomore Emily Hinchman, who assisted on the second goal at 53:06, this one coming from Carlie Hoekstra, her second of the year.

Hinchman scored her seventh goal of the season to make the final score 3-0 at 81:08 on an assist from Kristina Dolak

IWU next plays at CCIW foe Millikin on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m.
