IWU Tops Millikin to Set School Consecutive Win Mark

DECATUR, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team won its school-record 14th straight match in claiming a 3-0 decision at Millikin on Thursday, Oct. 14.

The Titans, who won 13 straight in 2009, improved to 14-0 overall and 3-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and the Big Blue fell to 9-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the league.

Illinois Wesleyan scored first on sophomore Emily Hinchman's eighth goal of the year at 18:59 on an assist from senior Annmarie Dolak.

With the score 1-0 late in the second half, freshman Tillie Bill scored at 78:32 with an assist from junior Molly O'Brien, then just eight seconds later Bill scored again, her 12th goal of the season, after an assist from freshman Hannah Ketterling.

Senior Alli Novak made seven saves in her 31st career shutout.

The Titans will play another CCIW road match on Saturday, Oct. 16, at Elmhurst at 3:30 p.m.
