Box Score Illinois Wesleyan 2, Millikin 1 - Box Score

DECATUR, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan freshman Erick Butt scored a goal with 4:23 left in regulation to give the Titan men's soccer team a 2-1 win at Millikin on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

The Titans improved to 5-5-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Big Blue fell to 4-7-1, 0-2-1 CCIW.

Butt's goal, his second of the season, came at 85:37 on an assist from senior Scott Pettenon and was the only scoring in the second half.

The Titans, who outshot Millikin by a 13-10 margin, got on top in the first half at 20:52 on freshman Declan Geraghty's first goal of the season with an assist to sophomore Sam Peniak. Millikin tied the score less than four minutes later when Ian Hatleli scored at 24:45 on an assist from Reid Butts.

Senior keeper Frank Gorg made two saves in the win.

IWU plays next at CCIW foe Elmhurst at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. The Bluejays were 6-7 overall and 0-3 in the league heading into a Wednesday night showdown at North Central.
