BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team played to its second straight two-overtime tie this season, battling Carroll (Wis.) to a 2-2 draw at IWU's Neis Field on Sept. 5 in the "Clash of the Titans" tournament.

After a scoreless first half, Carroll's Jordan Wickman scored an unassisted goal at the 47:00 mark. The Titans answered at the 61:45 mark with a goal from Brice Humpolick on assists from Nick Jefferson and Paulo Michelini.

The Titans took a 2-1 lead when Tom Marlow scored after a pass from Jeff Graham at 78:08 but at 82:22, the Pioneers' Marc Hietpas connected on an assist from Craig Carlson to tie the game and end the scoring.

Titan keeper Frank Gorg made five saves.

A driving rain prevented much crisp ball movement and shooting in the two overtime periods. IWU (0-0-2) will play Principia at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6.
