IWU Offense Beats Millikin, 9-5

Box Score DECATUR, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team pounded out 14 hits as six players each had two hits and defeated Millikin, 9-5, in Decatur on April 8. Jason Pankau was the winning pitcher, striking out six in seven innings.

The Titans, who improved to 15-6 overall and 7-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, scored six in the fourth inning and added two more in the seventh. Centerfielder Kraig Ladd and first baseman Casey McIntosh each had two hits with home runs, while second baseman Brett Moore, outfielder #Mike Morrissey, third baseman Jeff Grodecki and shortstop Tim Marzec# also had two hits.

Pankau improved to 3-0 as he scattered eight hits.

IWU hosts league-leading Carthage (15-4, 8-0 CCIW) in a three-game set beginning with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Friday, April 10 and a 12 p.m. single game on Saturday, April 11.
