Illinois Wesleyan pounded out 14 hits and defeated Washington U., 8-5, on Sunday, March 22 for its second straight win and third in the last four games.

The Titans improved to 7-5 with the win and Paul Kabbes was the winning pitcher, going five innings in relief, allowing three hits, one unearned run and striking out two.

Bob Huppert and Jeff Grodecki each had three hits, while Kraig Ladd and Kevin Goshorn each two hits with a homer. Brett Moore had a single and drove home two runs.

The Titans will host Benedictine at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Horenberger Field.
