Box Score Illinois Wesleyan 70, Illinois College 59 - Box Score, Dec. 15

JACKSONVILLE, Ill . - The Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team won its first road game of the season, claiming a 70-59 decision at Illinois College on Dec. 15 in Jacksonville.

The Titans, who led 34-29 at the half, improved to 7-2 with the win as they limited the Blueboys to 29 percent shooting (19 of 65) in the game and only four of 25 from beyond the 3-point stripe. Illinois College came into the game averaging more than 84 points per contest.

Juniors Doug Sexauer, who was seven of 11 from the floor, and Sean Johnson each had 16 points for IWU and Travis Rosenkranz had 10 points and was eight-for-eight from the free throw line. Junior Edmond O'Callaghan had nine points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds as the Titans held a 48-40 edge on the glass.

David Stewart had 23 points in the loss.

The Titans play next at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas on December 28.
