IWU Women Drop 1-0 CCIW Title Match at Augustana

Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - In the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament title match, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision at Augustana on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Caitlin Winkelman scored an unassisted goal just 13:18 into the match to provide the margin of victory for Augustana (18-1-1), who was ranked sixth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll and eighth in the D3soccer.com list. The Titans were No. 20 in the NSCAA poll and No. 14 in the D3soccer.com poll.

The Titans (15-3-3) will await word on possible selection to the NCAA Division III tournament on Sunday, Nov. 8 with the selection announcement. Pairings will be announced on Monday, Nov. 9.

The Titans outshot the Vikings, 10-7, as junior keeper Alli Novak made three saves and her counterpart Kayla Radloff made six.
