BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Juniors Doug Sexauer and Sean Johnson scored 25 and 20 points, respectively, to pace the Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team to an 89-79 season-opening win over Benedictine on Nov. 15 at the Shirk Center.

The Titans shot 60 percent (32 of 53) in the game and outrebounded the Eagles, 31-29, in the win. Sophomore John Koschnitzky had a team-high eight rebounds and Edmond O'Callaghan also snared five.

Sophomore Ryan Connolly came off the bench to add 12 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Rob Bridgeman scored 22 points while teammates Cameron Snelling and Terry Licht had 18 and 12, respectively, for Benedictine.

The Titans next host Webster in a 7:30 p.m. game on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
