Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team got a second half goal from
Carlie Hoekstra to beat Carthage, 1-0, on Sunday, Nov. 1 at IWU's Neis Field.
Hoekstra scored an unassisted tally at the 48:01 mark to help IWU improve to 15-2-2 overall and 5-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Lady Reds were 0-7 in the CCIW this season and ended with a 6-12-0 record.
The Titans outshot the Lady Reds, 16-3, and Carthage keeper Angela Spinelli made five saves.
Junior
Alli Novak had her eighth shutout of the season, making two saves. It is the 24th of her career, placing her second all-time at Illinois Wesleyan behind only the 28 from Emily Castner from 2003 to 2006.
