IWU Men Lose 1-0 to Carthage on Seniors' Day

Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team saw its season end with a 1-0 shutout at the hands of Carthage on IWU "Seniors' Day" on November 1.

The Titans finished 5-9-3 overall and 2-4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Red Men bettered their season mark to 7-7-4 and their league record to 4-3-0.

The game's only scoring came on an unassisted goal by Jordan Baker at the 48:53 mark. It was the team's only shot on goal.

The Titans outshot the Red Men, 11-8 as Carthage keeper Aaron Dirck made three saves.

IWU President Richard Wilson
Before the game the Titans, who had school president Richard Wilson as their honorary coach for the game, paid tribute to their six seniors - Win Fisher, Robert Tabaka, Brett Luy, Paulo Michelini, Curtis Cribben and Scott Woodward.
