Box Score WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team lost its second consecutive match, falling 4-0 at Wheaton on Oct. 28.
The Titans, ranked No. 7 in this week's D3soccer.com poll, are 14-2-2 overall and 4-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the No. 20-ranked Thunder improved to 15-4 overall and finished 6-1 in the conference.
Wheaton outshot the Titans 14-7 and had eight shots on goal compared to one for IWU. Junior keeper
Alli Novak made four saves for Illinois Wesleyan.
The Thunder scored first at 10:08 on a goal from Maria Della Torre on assists from Taryn Lee and Katelyn Kishkunas, then scored again at 12:14 on a goal from Ali Kopelman with an assist from Brittany Bergh.
In the second half, Wheaton got a goal from Lee with an assist from Val Lelle at 46:48, and closed the scoring at 48:11 with a goal from Kopelman on an assist from Della Torre.
The Titans will have their annual "Seniors' Day" match at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31 against Carthage.
