Titan Women Lose First Match of Season

Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 3-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team lost its first match of the season as Augustana snapped the Titans' 13-match win streak with a 1-0 win on Oct. 24 at Neis Field.

The Titans are now 14-1-2 and 4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as No. 17 Augustana improved to 14-1-1 and 5-0 and in first place in the league.

Tha match's only goal came at the 42:20 mark when Jessica Dodds connected on an assist from Ashley Higuchi.

The Titans outshot the Vikings, 7-3, and led 4-1 in corner kicks. Illinois Wesleyan junior keeper Alli Novak made only one save and Augustana goalkeeper Kayla Radloff made three.

Illinois Wesleyan plays at No. 22-ranked Wheaton on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. before closing the regular season with "Seniors' Day" against Carthage at 2:30 Saturday, Oct. 31.
