Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team battled Augustana to a 1-1 tie on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Ericson Field in Rock Island, Ill.

The Titans are now 5-7-3 overall and 2-3-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while Augustana is 6-7-2, 3-2-1 CCIW. 

Each team scored midway through the first half, but neither could find the back of the net the remainder of the match. 

An unassisted goal by Andrew Stanley put the Vikings on top just under 28 minutes into the match, but the Titans scored just four minutes later on a header by Kyle Gorgol off a free kick by Robert Tabaka.

Augustana outshot Illinois Wesleyan, 15-13, and held a 3-1 advantage in shots during the extra two periods. Titan senior goalkeeper Win Fisher had nine saves in 110 minutes and Augustana keeper Mike Dolan had six saves. 

The Titans play at Wisconsin-Oshkosh on October 27 and will have their “Seniors' Day” match next Saturday, Oct. 31, with a 5 p.m. start at Neis Field against CCIW foe Carthage.
