William A. (Bill) Kauth is in his 17th year as the first full-time athletic trainer at Illinois Wesleyan, where he also teaches courses in physical education. He earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees at Illinois State University. From 1990 to 1994 he was head trainer and associate professor at Taylor University (Ind.), teaching first aid, kinesiology, weight training, and fitness. Kauth and his wife, Marjorie, are the parents of one daughter, Kaleigh (13), and three sons - Keenan (17), Kamden (15), and Koleton (10).
