    Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach
Monica Jarrett joined the Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach following the 2025 season. Jarrett comes to IWU following a standout lacrosse career at Division I University of Cincinnati and will officially begin her coaching duties June 1.
  
Jarrett joins the Illinois Wesleyan staff after spending the last three years as an elementary teacher in Dunlap, Ill. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Jarrett spent a year as an assistant coach for Division I Old Dominion University, working under head coach Heather Holt. Jarrett also brings in experience coaching club teams, as she worked with Phantastix Club in Philadelphia, Pa., and Black Lax Club in Milwaukee, Wis. While in Dunlap, Jarett was a volunteer coach with the Dunlap High School Girls Lacrosse varsity team in 2022.
  
Jarrett finished a stellar five-year career at Cincinnati as the program's record holder for career goals (197), assists (145), points (342), points per game (4.49), and also holds single-season records for goals (61), assists (47), and points (108). She was twice named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, as well as twice being a unanimous selection for the American Athletic Conference First Team and the Preseason American Athletic Conference First Team. Jarrett also earned multiple weekly awards throughout her career, highlighted by being named the US Lacrosse Division I Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week in 2021. Embodying being a student-athlete, Jarrett also reeled in academic honors, such as Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag-Sports Academic Honor Roll, American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, University of Cincinnati Athletics Legion of Excellence, and graduated cum laude honors with a degree in early education. 
  
A native of Devon, Pa., Jarrett graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-Grade 3) in May 2020 from Cincinnati. She is currently enrolled and working towards a master's degree in education in instructional design & technology.
