Craig Onsrud

Craig Onsrud, who is the head golf professional at Normal's Ironwood Golf Course, has been volunteering his time to the Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team since 2001. He took on the role as head coach prior to the start of the 2024-25 season. 

In his first season guiding the Titans, IWU posted the second-lowest team scoring average in program history. The Green and White took 15th at the NCAA Division III National Champioship and saw six earn All-CCIW status. Macy Ludwig was voted the CCIW Women's Golfer of the Year and went on to earn WGCA All-Region honors, while Onsrud was tabbed the CCIW Coach of the Year.

A native of Stoughton, Wis.,  Craig is a graduate of Illinois State University, where he played collegiate Division I golf. He was named the Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021, after helping IWU to finish tied for ninth at the NCAA Division III Tournament, before earning the honor again in 2024.

He has been named the Central Illinois PGA "Teaching Professional of the Year" in 1998, 2001 and 2002.

His wife, Jenni, and daughter, Lexi, live in Normal with their dog Oreo. Lexi was a four year letter winner amd three time Academic All-American for the Titans, graduating in 2024.
