Melaine Arends Anderson, a 2011 Illinois Wesleyan graduate, will assist the IWU women's golf team in 2011-12.

A native of Mahomet, Ill., Anderson earned three letters in golf, two in basketball and one in track at Mahomet-Seymour High School.

She played three seasons on the IWU varsity and had a career-best round of 81 at the 2009 Millikin Spring Invitational. As a senior (2010-11) she averaged 90.6 in nine rounds and her season best was an 86 in both rounds of IWU Fall Classic.
