Rebekah Ehresman Mounce

Rebekah Ehresman Mounce, one of the most highly-decorated student-athletes in the program's history and a 2018 Illinois Wesleyan graduate, enters her third year as an assistant coach in the 2020-21 season.

She finished her career ranked No. 9 in scoring (1,236 points), No. 10 in rebounds (604), and No. 2 in assists (376) in Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball history. Her 330 free throws and 296 steals are school career records.

As a senior in 2017-18, Ehresman was named "Player of the Year" in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and earned honorable mention All-American on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association team. For the third straight season she was chosen to the first team of the all-CCIW squads. She was elected to the second team of the Division III women's basketball Academic All-America® Teams and, as a sophomore, junior and senior, she was named to the Academic All-District® 7 Division III women's basketball squad.

Selected as Illinois Wesleyan's Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, junior and senior, she was chosen CCIW "Player of the Week" three times in her career and was named to three all-tournament teams.

A graduate of El Paso-Gridley High School, Ehresman was chosen to 15-player Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class 1A-2A all-state first team in both 2013 and 2014, was second team all-state as a senior and played for a team that finished third in the 2013 state tournament. Also in high school she played for four McLean County tournament champions, four regional champions, two-time sectional champs and three-time Heart of Illinois Conference titleists and was named female athlete of the year at the 2014 State Farm Student-Athlete Recognition Banquet.

She earned her master's degree from Illinois State University in the spring of 2020. Ehresman Mounce and her husband, Michael Mounce, live in El Paso, Ill.
