In 2015, Sara Rogers will be serving her first year as an assistant coach at Illinois Wesleyan.
As a senior in 2014, Rogers was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Player of the Year", was first team all-conference, and was chosen as IWU's "Most Valuable Player". She was named to first team of NFCA Division III All-Great Lakes Region softball squads as she hit .377 with team-highs of 61 hits, 45 runs, 39 runs batted in, 23 walks and 16 doubles, second best in IWU season. In addition she belted eight home runs and led IWU with 12 stolen bases.
Rogers graduated from IWU in 2014 with a degree in accounting and is employed by Citizens Equity First Credit Union (CEFCU) in Peoria, Ill.
A graduate of Canton (Ill.) High School, she attended Illinois Central College for two years before coming to IWU. At ICC she wasd first team all-region and played for a team that finished fifth in the nation.
