A native of New Zealand, Graham Arnold is well-known as a world-class softball pitcher with an impressive resume.
Arnold played competitive softball from 1963 to 1988 with teams in Hastings, Wellington, and Auckland (all in New Zealand) and in Prescott, Ariz., Seattle, Wash., and Bloomington, Ill.
He pitched on championship teams in New Zealand in 1970 and in the U.S. in 1980. Arnold was a two-time all-New Zealand tournament team selection and three times was chosen as an Amateur Softball Association All-American, earning the ASA "Most Valuable Player" honor in 1980.
Arnold, who has assisted at Illinois Wesleyan since 2008, has been a prominent pitching coach in the Bloomington area since 1997 and coached ASA girls softball teams for five years (1997-2001).
