Steven Kirk is a December 2012 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan and has been assisting with the IWU throwers since the 2013 season.

A former men's team captain, he was a national qualifier in both the hammer and weight throw as an Illinois Wesleyan athlete. In 2012 he fInished 19th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & FIeld Championships in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.33-meters.

A native of Chicago, he graduated from Hyde Park High School.
