Illinois Wesleyan 2010 graduate Amanda (LaRocca) Berggren, who was chosen as the 2009 Division III women's "Track Athlete of the Year" by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, began as an IWU track assistant in 2015, working as the hurdles coach.

In national competition she scored 24.5 points at the 2010 outdoor NCAA Division III meet; 13 in the 2009 indoor championships; nine points in the 2009 outdoor meet; four points in the 2008 indoor; one-and-a-half points in 2008 outdoor; and one point in the 2010 Indoor championships.
