Clint Moore joined the Illinois Wesleyan men’s soccer program as an assistant coach prior to the 2015 season.
Moore comes to IWU from Knox College, where he was the assistant soccer coach from 2013-14. In those two seasons, he helped guide the men’s team to a 28-10 record and the team’s first conference championship since 1988. Prior to that, Moore coached at the club and high school levels in the Chicago area, where he worked with both the Powerstrikers Soccer Club and Northside College Prep High School.
“We are very excited to have Coach Moore join the coaching staff here at IWU,” states Head Coach Kyle Schauls. “He will make an immediate impact on our recruiting, opponent scouting, and day-to-day operations.”
Moore was a member of both the soccer and basketball teams as a student at Knox, where he was a four-year letterwinner in both sports. Additionally, he was a two-year captain for soccer and one-year captain for the basketball team, earning numerous awards as a scholar-athlete at the college.
In conjunction with his athletic commitments and contributions, Moore pursued a double major in biology and environmental studies as an undergraduate student. He graduated with honors in biological research for completing an independent honors research project.
“With his understanding of the academic and athletic balance required of the student-athletes here at Illinois Wesleyan, Coach Moore will be able to step in right away and relate to our players and recruits,” Coach Schauls adds. “We are very happy to welcome Coach Moore to the Titan soccer family.”
