Coach Keller

Karl Keller

Dr. Karl Keller started serving as a men's golf assistant coach at Illinois Wesleyan in the 2010-11 season.

Keller, who has been a dentist in Manteno, Ill., since 1980, was the boys' golf coach at Kankakee (Ill.) Bishop McNamara High School from 1994 to 2006 and led the team to the 2000 Illinois High School Association Class A state championship along with 10 regional titles and two sectional championships.

Three times he was chosen as the winner of the "Lawless Award" as the Chicago Catholic League "Coach of the Year." He isa USGA rules official, has served as director of the Chicago District Golf Association since 2006 and serves on the CDGA Board of Governors.

A product of Bishop McNamara Catholic High School, Dr. Keller received his bachelor's degree from Notre Dame and his dentistry degree from Northwestern.

Dr. Keller and his wife Jackie (deceased 2018) are the parents of a daughter (Katie Keller Schroeder) and two sons -Tim, a representative for Club Car and Doug, a 2010 Illinois Wesleyan grad who was a four-year letterman in golf.  He is a dentist partnering with his father in the Manteno practice.  Dr. Keller has four grandchildren.
