Tyler Aeschbacher is entering his second season as the wide receivers coach for Illinois Wesleyan in 2021.

Before joining the IWU staff, Aeschbacher spent the previous two seasons at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado as the Tight Ends coach. While at ASU, Aeschbacher mentored Ian Fryday to two Academic All-RMAC selections and Jacx Power to one Academic All-RMAC selection. Fryday ranked second in the RMAC among tight ends with 22 receptions for 309 yards and four touchdowns.
 
Before arriving in Alamosa, Aeschbacher was the Offensive Coordinator at Carmichaels High School (Pa.). There, he was a part of a program that won its first conference championship in eight years and helped guide the team to its first playoff appearance in 14 years. Aeschbacher coached wide receivers for two years mentoring multiple All-Conference selections in Cody Brown, Hunter Phillips, and Jonathan Christopher before transitioning to coaching quarterbacks for a year and mentoring Kevin Kelley to an all-conference selection.

Aeschbacher is a 2018 graduate of Waynesburg University and has a major in Biology/Pre-Physical Therapy.
