Seth Carson became the Illinois Wesleyan secondary coach in July 2017.
Carson came to IWU after two seasons as the head football coach of the club team at Robert Morris University-Peoria. In his two years as an assistant with the Eagles, he worked with the linebackers and three RMU linebackers earned all-league honors in the Mid-States Football Association.
Carson is a 2013 graduate of Central College with a bachelor's degree in sociology. He played football for the Dutch for four seasons, earning recognition through the Les Claussen Coaches' Award and the Heerema-Schilder MVP Blanket Award for his outstanding achievements on and off the field.
A native of Woodridge, Ill., and graduate of Downers Grove South High School, Carson earned his master's degree in sports administration at Robert Morris University (Ill.).
