Quincy Griffith

Quincy Griffith joined the Illinois Wesleyan football coaching staff in 2018.

Prior to joining IWU, Griffith was a teacher and coach at Carlisle (Iowa) High School, where he taught world history, government, economics and AP government and coached football, wrestling and baseball.
In football, Griffith coached the defensive line and was part of one of Carlisle's best teams that was 8-2 and played in the state playoffs. One of his defensive linemen earned all-state honors and three received all-conference recognition.

Griffith graduated in 2015 from Wartburg College with a degree in history and secondary education. At Wartburg, he was a two-year starter at center and earned three letters for the Knights. He was part of two Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship teams (2013, 2014) and was an all-conference selection as a junior and senior. The 2014 team was one of the most successful in program history, posting a 12-1 record and falling in the quarterfinals of the NCAA championships.

Originally from Ankeny, Iowa, Griffith was a four-sport athlete in high school (football, wrestling, track and baseball) and was captain as a senior of his football team that went 14-0 and won the state championship.

Griffith is pursuing his master's degree in sports management at Illinois State University.
