Nick Ruud is entering his eleventh season as an Illinois Wesleyan football assistant, assisting with the running backs, offensive line and tight ends.
A native of Moline, Ill., Ruud is a 2003 graduate with a history degree from Truman State, where he started 43 (of 44) games at center, a three time all-Midwest Intercollegiate Athletic Association honoree and named team captain as a senior. Ruud spent five seasons playing in the Indoor Football League, first for the Omaha Beef and then for the Bloomington Extreme. In 2017, he was named the Head Coach for the Bloomington Edge after serving five years as the offensive line coach.
Nick and his wife, Erin, are parents to Morgan and Piper.
