Mike Murray is in his fifth full-time season of his second tenure as an Illinois Wesleyan assistant coach and will again serve as the team’s defensive coordinator and linebacker coach. A 1984 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan, where he lettered in both football (tight end who made 52 catches for 860 yards) and baseball, Murray was a Titan assistant from 1987 to 1996 before becoming head football coach at Dubuque (1997-2000) and Benedictine (2001-02). Before going to Dubuque, Murray spent 10 seasons as defensive coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan, where he also served as head men's and women's track coach, golf coach and recruiting coordinator. Mike and his wife, Anne (also a 1984 IWU grad), are the parents of Laura, Amanda, David, and Bryan.
