A 1995 Illinois Wesleyan graduate, Joe Rodgers returns after a one-year absence as an assistant at his alma mater, working with linebackers.

He spent four years from 2010-13 as an IWU assistant working with the defensive linemen.

Rodgers was a second team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin linebacker and was a three-year letterman for the Titans (1992-94).

After graduating with a degree in natural science, Rodgers was Director of Strength, Speed and Conditioning at New York’s Hofstra University, where he worked with NFL calibre athletes such as Marques Colston (New Orleans Saints) and Willie Colon (Pittsburgh Steelers).

Joe, who has a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Illinois State, resides in Bloomington with his wife, Carrie, and their two sons, Tyler and Cecil.
