Dru Richardson

Dru Richardson joined Norm Eash's staff prior to the 2022 season. He will work primarily with IWU's defensive backs.

No stranger to Division III, Richardson previously coached at Berry College and Ohio Northern University, as well as Roosevelt University-Chicago.

Most recently, he was the defensive backs coach at Berry, where he also ran the strength and conditioning program. Prior to that, he spent two years at Ohio Northern as the safeties coach.

Richardson got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Roosevelt, where he worked with the secondary.

Richardson graduated from Robert Morris with an undergraduate degree in business administration before receiving his masters of sports administration. As a student-athlete, Richardson anchored the Eagles’ secondary over four seasons as a defensive back, helping the team to the NAIA’s top rushing defense in 2014. In 2015, Richardson was honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete.
